Havisham; the manifestation of nostalgia in a space, time stood still, something building within the space until it envelops the whole The dust sheet, once used to protect now smothers in a different way; the suspension allowing for exploration, the piece invites the viewer to place themselves within the structure.
By raising the materials to surround the pole this elevates their status as discarded materials, they become mementos of the other artists work, the overlooked materials are as much a part of the process of creation; these are then reclaimed and re-presented as a trophy
